Ethnic Minority Achievement (EMA)
The Ethnic Minority Achievement (EMA) works in partnership with schools through a process of self review and evaluation to:- raise the attainment of minority ethnic pupils at risk of underachievement
- provide effective support for bilingual learners
- promote parental partnership
- promote cultural diversity and race equality policy and provision
- assessment of pupils' language/learning needs
- bilingual assistance for curriculum access and pastoral support
- support for promoting home-school links, including Family Learning
- collaborative/partnership teaching
- language/curriculum resource development
- support for whole school policy development and review, including race equality policy and action planning
- training and advice
- activities & resources to promote cultural diversity
- cultural and religious background information and advice
