Community information
Portsmouth Library Service's Community Information Service can help you find answers to those practical problems in your day to day life.
Do you want to:
- join a club or society?
- investigate care options for an elderly or disabled relative?
- find somewhere to hold your wedding ceremony?
- write to your Councillor or MP?
- check out benefits, grants or sponsorship?
- apply for a passport or visa?
- find a doctor, dentist or solicitor?
- explore education, career or work options?
- learn a new skill or hobby?
- make a complaint?
- contact a place of worship?
We can help you answer all these questions - and many more.
We hold
- A Clubs and Societies database detailing clubs in the Portsmouth area, with a Clubs and Societies display board and folder at Central Library to supplement the database
- A large range of Community Information in the form of leaflets, posters, guides, books and directories
- Access to the Citizens' Advice Bureau information at Central Library
- Advice leaflets on a large range of issues and topics
