Opening times

  • Monday: 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 7pm
  • Tuesday: 9.30am to 1pm
  • Wednesday: 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 5pm
  • Friday: 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 7pm
  • Saturday: 9.30am to 1pm

We are closed on Thursdays and Sundays. Opening times will be different on Bank Holidays and at Christmas, contact us for details.

Some of the services at this library

Books, talking books, DVDs, videos, local history information, a children's fiction dual language collection, local information and free internet and email.

Reading Groups for the visually impaired

Carnegie runs 2 reading groups for the visually impaired. The first group listen to talking books on CD and meet every other month on a Thursday at 2.30pm. The second group listens to books using mp3 players. This group meets once a month, also on a Thursday at 2pm.

Computer training for the visually impaired

If you are visually impaired and want to learn how to use computers, we can help. We run a weekly drop-in and can offer support, training and advice. We meet every Thursday from 10am to 12 noon.
