Unpacking the past - "Memories hide in the simplest things": Portsea Library is currently exhibiting an inspiring and highly visual art project. A variety of Portsmouth based community groups have collaborated with Mappa and the City Museum and Records Office to generate a stunning range of personal stories together with original art works.

Refugee Week 2009: To celebrate Refugee Week, Portsmouth Central Library will be hosting two displays at Central Library. The Ground Floor will exhibit artwork by detainees of Haslar Immigration Removal Centre. First Floor will present a display with books and information by Refugee Action.
