Free computer courses: Central Library in partnership with Highbury College are offering free IT tasters over 6 months. They are suitable for the absolute beginner who would like to develop computer and Internet skills.- Computing for beginners, Wednesday 10th March - FULLY BOOKED
- Buying a computer, Wednesday 24th March - FULLY BOOKED
- Shopping online, Wednesday 31st March
All tasters are held on the Second Floor of Central Library to start at 2pm until 5pm

Author talk: Former Rough Guides editor Fran Sandham will be coming to Central Library to give a fascinating talk about his book ‘Traversa’, the story of his trek in Africa on foot from the Skeleton coast to the Indian ocean.
Saturday 13th March 2010, 3pm
Tickets will be available from 1st February 2010 at Central Library. They are £2 each and include a £1 discount on the price of Fran’s book. Tickets can be reserved over the phone by calling 023 9268 8057.

Family Fun with PCs: This fun computer class will show your family how to use a PC for artistic activities.

Light Nights at Central Library: To mark daylight saving time Central Library is extending its opening hours and holding special events.
Saturday 27th March, 5pm to 7pm
Drop-in events:
- Afternoon lantern-making sessions for children in the Guildhall Square
- Children’s Storytelling session led by Michael O' Leary at 3pm at Central Library
- Lantern parade around Guildhall Square at 5pm
Bookable events:
- eBay taster session, 5pm-7pm
- "Your Family and Naval History: tracing the lives of men and women, ships and the naval history of their times" talk, 5pm-6pm
- "Sherlock Holmes and other fictional private detectives: why is what they do so fascinating?" talk, 6pm-7pm
- "Behind the Scenes at Central Library" tours, 5pm-6pm and 6pm-7pm
