Connexions
Connexions offer a service to all young people aged between 13 and 19 (or up to 25 for young people who have learning difficulties and disabilities). We employ Personal Advisers (PAs) who are able to give advice and guidance on issues you may be faced with, whatever they are. You can find PAs in schools, colleges and information centres across Portsmouth, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and Southampton.

We want to make sure every young person has a positive and enjoyable life. To make sure we do this, we are working around five main priorities:

  • be healthy
  • stay safe
  • enjoy and achieve
  • make a positive contribution
  • achieve economic wellbeing

PYOP -  Preventing Young Offending Project
The project works with young people who:

  • have been identified as being prolific offenders or who have been convicted of a high number of offences
  • need specialist help, such as keeping safe, risk assessments or treatment packages for juvenile sex offenders
  • would benefit from preventative input, such as outdoor pursuits, challenging anti-social behaviour groups and drama

The young people are offered one to one social support, education support, group work provision, anger management, counselling, outdoor activities and a range of workshops. Parents are supported in a range of ways, as are their brothers and sisters.
