P.I.FPortsmouth Interfaith Forum is a group comprised of a collection of representatives from the various faith groups within Portsmouth. We currently have members from the Christian, Islamic, Jewish, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist and Baha'i faiths.
What are the aims and objectives we hope to accomplish?
PIF was set up to increase public awareness regarding various faiths by bringing religious communities together in the hope that we can have an increased understanding of each other and can therefore work together to enhance, develop and enrich each other and consequently the city of Portsmouth.
How do we aim to achieve this?
We hope to achieve this through educating each other with regard to faith issues and supporting activities within the local communities, encouraging charitable activity and offering representation of various faith groups in the workings and local structures of Portsmouth to ensure equality and increased unity.

South Hampshire Humanists
The South Hampshire Humanist group is affiliated to the British Humanist Association (BHA) which is a national charity representing the interests of the large and growing population of ethically concerned non-religious people living in the UK. The South Hampshire Humanist group exists to support and represent the non-religious people in South Hampshire who seek to live good and responsible lives without religious beliefs. Both the South Hampshire Humanist group and the BHA are deeply committed to human rights, equality, democracy and an end to discrimination.
South Hampshire Humanists meet regularly for talks, discussions and social events, and the group has trained and accredited members who can conduct non-religious ceremonies including Humanist Weddings, Baby Namings and Funerals.
