If you would like to come in and see us the City Helpdesk staff are available at the reception in the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square and will be happy to help you with general enquiries such as viewing the details of a current planning application or looking at the planning history of a site. We are open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and until 4pm on Friday.
For all other types of enquiry please contact us by email or telephone (details below) so that we can offer advice on how we can help you. Unfortunately, we are unable to see you at reception without an appointment. Translation services can be arranged if you need them.

News
- 24 May 2013 - we are reviewing our local list of the documents which need to be submitted with planning applications
- 22 May 2013 - from the end of this month, new requirements come into force for prior approval for household extensions.
- 30 April 2013 - Due to essential maintenance our Public Access system will be unavailable during from 4pm Friday 24 May to 6am Tuesday 28 May.
If you wish to comment on a current planning application during this period please email planningreps@portsmouthcc.gov.uk. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
- 18 March 2013 - the Site Allocations first consultation document is available
- 22 November 2012 - there will be an increase in planning fees across England from today. The new fee schedule is available from the national Planning Portal.
