Community safety
Last updated: 14 February 2013 15:02 UKReducing crime and making the community safer is one of our key priorities.
We do this work in partnership with Hampshire Constabulary, NHS Portsmouth, the Hampshire Fire Service, Hampshire Probation Trust, Portsmouth University and many other agencies including representatives from the community as well as the voluntary sector. This partnership is called the Safer Portsmouth Partnership. Here you'll find information that'll be of interest if you're a resident, want to find out where to go to report a crime or are trying to find up-to-date crime information.
A small support dedicated team provides analytical, communications and commissioning support to the partnership, identifying long term priorities, monitoring performance, and producing statutory plans and policies. The team works also with partners to promote a co-ordinated, multi-agency problem solving approach to community safety activity across the city.
