The BIG Green Commuter Challenge (14 - 20 May 2012) is a competition between organisations and businesses to reduce car use congestion and emissions.
Workplaces compete against each other to see which one can cut the most car miles by:-
-
walking
-
cycling
-
taking public transport
-
car sharing
-
working from home
-
riding a motorbike or scooter
Commuting by more fuel efficient sustainable transport will not only benefit your health and save you money, but will reduce the effect of climate change.
This year the event will be marking it's tenth anniversary.
It is a ready made and fun event which encourages team working. In the longer term it helps you to meet your corporate social responsibility commitments and can also help identify and solve your organisation's travel issues.
