Last updated: 13 April 2011 11:00The Asset Management Service (AMS) incorporates a wide range of property professionals including Architects, Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Valuers. Collectively AMS manages and maintains a wide range of properties which are owned by Portsmouth City Council.
Design
The Design Group makes a significant contribution to the design of new buildings and landscapes around the city designed to meet modern standards of service delivery. Recent examples of this design include:
- Copnor Infant School Playground
- Paulsgrove's New Primary School
- Play Pathfinder sites.
- Port Solent Household Waste Recycling Centre
- Somerstown Adventure Playground.
In development:
- The new Southsea Libruary
- The new Dog Kennels at Burrfields Road
Maintenance
The Maintenance Group are responsible for ensuring that our buildings are maintained to the standard required to deliver services to the public. Among the 500 buildings we maintain are schools, social services and some buildings of historical importance such as Southsea Castle.
Property
The Property Group is responsible for effectively managing Portsmouth City Council's property portfolio which includes the Civic Offices. The group is made up of Chartered Surveyors who manage the property assets to generating income from sales and lettings of property owned by the City Council. Income generated from the property portfolio is used to support service delivery, reduce council tax and contribute towards the capital programme funds.
