The Government has announced that the Train to Gain service will be ending on the 31 July 2011.
Running a business today is tough. Employing the right people with the right skills is tougher still. Which is why you'll be interested in Train to Gain.
Train to Gain is a government service for employers, a new way of working designed to put the employer's business or skills needs first. The service, which is open to all organisations in the South East regardless of size, sector and type, can offer you a customised business solution through the use of an independent and impartial skills broker.
Train to Gain can help you improve your business performance and raise the skills levels of your workforce through a core offer, which consists of:
- advice and support from a skills broker to help you identify your organisation's training needs
- identification of eligible funding, including access to fully funded learning for employees' 'skills for life' and their first full Level 2 qualification and for other provision that the employer will have to fund
- sourcing suitable training provision which is high quality, flexible and relevant for both the employee and the organisation
- information and advice on qualifications at Levels 3, 4 and beyond and other training, including signposting to other sources of information such as web sites and helplines
