The private viewing is part of a rolling programme of works with many diverse and unusual pieces set within a stunning environment. It is a great opportunity to call in and enjoy a glass of wine and see the £14 million refurbishment of 1000 Lakeside which includes “allegedly” the largest atrium in Southern England. You can meet local artists and business colleagues or just wander through the galleries for a very informal evening – no badges or formalities, just arrive and enjoy.

"Your city, your future"- have your say on Portsmouth's new planning blue print

The Portsmouth Plan (draft core strategy) is out for consultation between 25th August and 6th October 2008. The Plan sets a blueprint for how Portsmouth should develop in the future, addressing, amongst other issues, how much employment space and of what type is needed in the city and where it should go. The views of the business community will be essential in ensuring that Portsmouth City Council have the right policies for the future of the city. So it has arranged a business lunch with a short series of presentations and workshops on the content of the plan.
