Local Futures audit of Portsmouth

Local Futures capture the ‘State of the District’ at a particular point in time.  This is basically a set of ‘snapshots’ of local economic, social and environmental conditions. It also provides a ‘woods from the trees’ perspective on the state of Portsmouth by looking at how the city rates within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, the South East and Great Britain. Therefore, the results of the audit provide a basis for an informed discussion on the challenges and issues facing Portsmouth both now and in the coming years.

This is the National Statistics website and from their home page you can download a Portsmouth local authority profile that includes data on resident population, economic activity, occupations, qualifications, VAT registered businesses and earnings.  You can find a link to Nomisweb to the right.

Informing Our Future

This annual report is produced by the University of Portsmouth on behalf of the Hampshire Economic Partnership and whilst Hampshire wide in its perspective it also includes Portsmouth specific information in the form of datasets.  See the external link to view and download this information.
