Responsible Procurement

Responsible Procurement means environmentally, socially (ethically) and economically responsible purchasing.  Responsible purchasing, therefore, has to work in hand with Sustainability, Equalitites & Diversity and the need to obtain best value whilst observing the EC Treaty principles involving the additional requirements of transparency and fairness.

It is for these reasons that the City Council has published a Responsible Procurement Policy, a copy of which can be found below.
