Highcross has sold a 3.1 acre site at its Lakeside North Harbour Business Park in Portsmouth to De Vere Group for a new resort hotel.
The group’s De Vere Village Urban Resorts division has exchanged contracts for the purchase of a 250 year leasehold interest in the land at the expanding business park. The 124-bedroom hotel will be located at the eastern edge of Lakeside North Harbour, close to the new Porsche Centre, and provide additional leisure, food and conference facilities for companies based at the park and the wider community.Zurich House Site
This centrally based landmark office building (90,011 sq ft) with an adjoining 0.42 hectare development site was purchased by McAleer & Rushe, following Zurich's decision to vacate the building to consolidate operations at Solent Business Park.
Portsmouth City Council has approved a £100 million scheme which includes 2 new hotels, 55 apartments, restaurants, offices and bars. National hotel chain Jury's Inn has already signed up to the project and a second hotel is going to be built from scratch with a further 243 beds. A third building on the current car park will create residential and office space and a new landscaped pedestrian entrance to Victoria Park from Stanhope Road will be built as well.
Four-Star Hotel in Portsmouth City Centre
Portsmouth City Council has approved plans for Number One Portsmouth, a 25-storey glass and steel hotel building in Station Street, which would become the city's second highest structure after the Spinnaker Tower. Private equity firm Bridgepoint Ventures will be building the first of its five apart-hotels on this site in an investment worth £36m.
Europa House
Planning permission has been granted for the development of a new hotel in the heart of Portsmouth. Close to the Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays the newly proposed hotel will be in an ideal spot for tourists and other visitors to Portsmouth. The new development will replace PALL Europe's European HQ, that has been relocated to North Harbour in Portsmouth, with a twelve storey hotel with a dedicated car park below.
