Find out the easy ways to get more active this summer
Last updated: 06 November 2012 13:36
People in Portsmouth are being encouraged to get active during this year’s summer of sport with free personalised activity packs for all the family.
Games4Life, the latest campaign from Change4Life, wants to provide everyone with a personalised activity plan packed full of tips and ideas to try this summer. Residents can get their plans by completing a simple activity check questionnaire. These can be found online at mygames4life.co.uk or pick one up from local libraries or community centres. It only takes a few minutes to complete and anyone can do it.
As well as personalised activity packs, there are a range of exciting resources on the Games4Life website, including healthy family recipes and the Games4Life Fun Generator with over 100 activities for kids of all ages. There is also an Activity Finder tool, which is an easy way to find somewhere local to get active and have fun.
Dawn Saunders, Public Health Consultant for Portsmouth, said: “With all the exciting sporting activities taking place this summer, it is the perfect time for everyone to get up and active. Games4Life brings great ideas and inspiration to adults and families across the country, aiming to encourage millions of people to get active, have fun and take steps towards tackling the national challenge of obesity.”
