Portsmouth City Council City Crest

Port authority

Over 3 million passengers a year use our ferry port to travel to destinations across France, Jersey and Gurnsey. It has been a success since it first opened for business in 1976 and is now the second largest passenger ferry terminal in Britain; only Dover handles more passengers.

FAQ

Q : How do I book my tickets?

A : It is advisable to book in advance, in which case you receive a ticket voucher by post. For added comfort pay extra and reserve a suite, cabin accommodation or travel Club Class. Bookings are made through the ferry companies. It is sometimes possible to buy tickets on the day of travel depending on availability. All ferry companies have ticket offices in the main concourse - however all tickets must be purchased at least 45 minutes before the published sailing time.
