Our aim is to reduce the effect of emergencies so that people in Portsmouth can go about their lives as freely and with as much confidence as possible.

We have a crucial role in the response to an emergency and in the restoration of infrastructure, services and support to affected people. To do this we identify potential hazards and plan for the consequences so that our response is effective, timely and appropriate.
