Family Placement

Family placement is where a child is placed with a family.  Long term foster carers will provide stability while maintaining contact with the child's birth family, while short term care can mean caring for a child or children for a few days, a few weeks or up to two years.  Family placement schemes are designed to meet the needs of children and young people who have very challenging needs.
