Fridge recycling

The Household Waste Recycling Centre accepts old  fridges which can be given a new lease of life after a visit to the HWRC. You can get rid of your old fridge or freezer, safe in the knowledge that we will recycle as much as possible without letting any harmful CFCs contribute to the hole in the ozone layer. The HWRC is open between April and September from 8am to 7pm and between October and March from 8am to 4pm for residents to use all year round except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

FAQ

Q  : Do I have to pay to use the HWRC

A : No . The HWRC is paid for by residents' council tax and is for residents' use only. To prevent abuse of the HWRC and to avoid the tax-payer subsidising businesses we have installed CCTV and height barriers.
