Graffiti Removal
'Words or drawings, especially humorous, rude or political, on walls, doors, etc. in public places.'
The council will arrange for the removal of the graffiti in a timescale determined by the content with the highest priority likely to be given to graffiti which is racist or offensive in some other way. If the graffiti is on private property there may be a charge for this service, depending on the nature of the graffiti. If you are the owner of a property that has been subject to graffiti, this constitutes criminal damage and should also be reported to the police.
Portsmouth City Council depends on the participation and support of everyone who lives and works in the city to keep the city free of graffiti.
