Infectious Diseases
In consultation with the with the Director of Public Health of the District Health Authority the council will exercise its duties to control infectious diseases. As a local authority we appoint appropraite medical officers for functions relating to food poisoning, infectious diseases and will investigate all outbreaks in partnership with the Consultant in Communicable Disease Control (CCDC). On occasion this will include the removal of persons from infected homes and the hospitalisation of those person suffering from a notifiable disease.Contact details
