Development Control

Development Control is responsible for the determination and monitoring of planning applications, and other associated applications such as listed building consent and advertisement consent submitted to us under the Planning Acts. The development and use of land in Portsmouth is guided by the City Local Plan, which gives details of what types of development will and will not be permitted in an area.
