Housing development
Housing development is based within the council's Local Authority Housing department. We are working towards one of Portsmouth City Council's top priorities - to improve the quality and affordability of housing in Portsmouth. We are responsible for:- identifying sites for development on land owned by the council's Local Authority Housing department
- promoting opportunities to develop new affordable housing
- creating links with registered social landlords, developers and consultans to maximise the return from housing assets
- managing the housing commercial portfolio which contains various retail and office units
