The Olympic and Paralympic Games are an exceptional opportunity to engage and inspire young people. The official London 2012 education programme was launched on 17 September 2008 and it will offer children and young people in the UK and around the world many ways to get involved - no matter what their inspiration.

At present, all useful information is being uploaded onto the London 2012 website, where you will find lots of informative and educational activities for all key stages to participate in, plus more information on other levels of education, from global citizenship to volunteering.

The Get Set website offers a huge variety of opportunities, with resources targeted at 3 - 19 year olds, video clips, history of the games and much more. There are also teacher’s notes and case studies as well as interactive games.

In the future there will be more locally based opportunities for children, families, schools and colleges to be involved in. These will be promoted through this web page so look out for further information shortly.
